On November 20th, 2018 at approximately 3:45 a.m., LVMPD officers were dispatched to Spring Valley Hospital Emergency Room to investigate a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was then transported to University Medial Center Trauma due to being in critical condition.
LVMPD Patrol Investigations Detectives were able to determine that the victim was shot near the 4700 block of South Decatur. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on November 27, 2018 at UMC, and now the investigation is being handled by LVMPD Homicide.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. As of this release no arrests have been made and the motive is unknown.
The suspect is described as a black male adult in his early 30’s, who was last seen wearing dark clothing. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a light-colored Chevrolet sedan. Detectives are also looking for possible witness driving a white BMW SUV.
